Pollo Borracho (Drunk Chicken)

Serves 4,

One 2- to 3-pound chicken, cut into 8 pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 pounds pearl or boiling onions, peeled
1 1/2 cups  dry white wine

Product Description

lightly coat the chicken with flour.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the
chicken pieces for 3 to 5 minutes, until golden on all sides. Season with salt,
pepper, and garlic powder.
When the chicken pieces turn a golden color, add the onions, saute for 2 or
3 minutes, and immediately add the wine.
Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 40 minutes, until chicken
is tender and done and onions are translucent and soft. Transfer to a serving
bowl, and serve immediately.
