Coffee Cakes

1 plain or butter spongecake
1 coffee flavored butter cream or muselina (see recipe)
1 cup chopped almonds

Product Description

Make the spongecake the night before using a 13 x 9 x 2″ tin and bake for 35 mins. Cut sponge into very fine slices with a sharp knife and divide into 16. Build layers with coffee cream, cover with the remaining cream and sprinkle with chopped almonds. Makes 16 little sponges.
