Majarete (Cuban Corn Pudding)

Serves 8.

12 ears of tender corn
5 cups milk
2 cups sugar
1 small stick cinnamon
1 piece lemon peel
1/4 tsp. salt
cinnamon powder

Product Description

Grate or grind corn and mix with milk (this may be done in a
liquifier). Strain to remove stalks and add sugar, cinnamon, lemon peel
and salt. Stir over heat until thickened. Remove from heat and serve
sprinkled with cinnamon. Serve chilled.
