Cut the meat into 2″ cubes and marinate for one hour with lemon juice and crushed garlic. Heat the oil and fry sliced onion and green pepper. Add the meat and when brown, add the strained tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine, salt, peeled potatoes, diced carrots, onion and pepper. Cover well and cook over medium heat for 1/2 hour. Add the petit pois and cook for a further 15 mins. or until meat is tender.
